DJ Marquis began his career as a DJ at WXOK-AM, later transitioning to KQXL-FM and segued to WEMX-FM as Mix Show Coordinator, preparing shows for airplay five days a week. He is also the founder of the “DJ Marquis Foundation,” which is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help fathers build healthy relationships with their children. DJ Marquis said, “The key to healthy development in any child is the active participation of their father in their lives.” This DJ not only talks the talk, but he walks it by setting an example with his son. DJ Marquis has an enormous passion for children and when the music stops, the community is where he starts. In addition to school visits and extensive community involvement, DJ Marquis also encourage elementary students to read more, and continue to strive for excellence in the Arts.
